Sandro Francisco Piedrahita is an American writer of Ecuadorian and Peruvian descent, with a degree in Comparative Literature from Yale College. His short stories usually revolve around Latin American historic or mythical themes, told with a modern twist. The attached piece tells the tale of the relationship formed between a Shining Path guerrilla and the Australian nun who is her captive.
